I have been working in the French Quarter’s Jackson Square as an Astrologer, Palm and Tarot Card Reader for 2 years now. This has been a growing experience for me as a Reader, and as a student of Human Science or Human Nature and as a child of God and of The Universe.
I was born into a very clairvoyant New Orleans family. I actually took it for granted that my grandmother and grandfather, aunts, uncles and father were all pretty peculiar. And, we’re only talking about dad’s people right now, “The Bachemin’s”. Mother’s folk’s “The Reys and Blanc’s” will require their own blog. But, my grandmother Myrtle Rose Casimir-Bachemin-Sholes kept alters covered with white embroidered cloth and adorned with pictures of Jesus, family ancestors, heirlooms, Holy Crosses, bible, holy water from her church (inwhich she was VERY active) and palm leaves in every bedroom, there were three. One night my cousin Sonya and I started a fire on the alter in the bedroom where we slept. I wrote a story about it that I’ll share later. Growing up in a family like mine, aunts and uncles relaying spirit encounters was normal conversation although my cousins and I thought it was something to make fun of, like my cousin asking if Aunt B could give him the address of Jesus who had been visiting her for the past few weeks because he wanted to send Him a letter. Well everyone had an experience as I can remember except my cousins and me. That is, until I went to New York for school.
Skipping ahead, it was in New York that I really came to have a real relationship with The Living God. Meeting my husband, famed Astrologer and spiritual advisor Kwame Adansi-Bona was a life changing experience. He was and still is a brilliant thinker who is a Master Astrologer. He awakened in me an understanding of how we need to really be in harmony with the movement of all things in The Universe if we want success. He taught me that most people are out of sink with their real purpose for being here. And, a great clue as to why we are created and why we exist is the date, time and place that we came into existance on the face of The Earth. The planets have been here for billions of years. They (including the sun and moon) are the greatest living beings in our World. God is not haphazzard there is a reason that we jump into the revolution of The Universe when we do and it relates to our reason for being here and how we are supposed to function in order to be in harmony with everything else that is here. Once you can be in harmony with all things then life is soooo GREAT! And, this, is what I learned and contiue to learn from my husband and my work as an Astrologer and as a Reader in General.
